Never change a running system
Well, well - the boss of this "Big Corporation" is right. The gears, though not round at all, are running and the engine is making its job. No need to hesitate. No need to follow the rules of the organisation with the three strange letters - ISO. ISO 9000 is just another shortcut in a world full of shorter and longer shortcuts.
But there's another part of this cartoon. Is this machine safe, safe in standard way of safety? Many big corporations of the "Western World" are producing in countries where they needn't obey to the standards of workplace safety. This boss saves salary to keep the money for his own purposes.
"Never change a running system", as long as it works, and sometimes companies themselves set new standards, as a young company called Google did it and will do in the future. Wow.
